About this item
- A No electronics on this bike. No app, no screen. I listen to my ipod when I work out, so I didn't want to pay extra for the ad-ons.
- A No it's a belt drive and it is very quiet
- A This bike can easily be adjusted to the correct, recommended height (distance from pedals to seat) for someone who is 5' tall. (I suppose that whether or not one finds that "comfortable" is a more subjective matter.)
- A The issue with this bike is if you use it regularly like 3-4 times a week for 30-45 min each time, it will break in 6 months. There are consistent reviews from folks in the negative review section who talk specifically about the left crank and pedal coming loose. It’s a known issue that the company refuses to fix. I myself had this issue and emailed them within the warranty window. They did a go around with me for months, refusing to answer in a timely way, not helping me find info like the serial number and parts numbers that I apparently needed to submit etc even tho I asked multiple times for assistance, until the warranty window closed and then they make you pay for everything. So suggestion - go with another bike. This company is terrible
- A The bike is not noisy unless you are a fanatic who wants complete silence. I watch TV often while riding this stationary bike and never had to adjust for background noise..
- A If you're looking for comfort, I really like this seat. I average between 30 and 40 corona virus miles a day, and I'm 6' 180.
- A I've seen more than a few comments suggesting this is easy to assemble. That my friend depends on how you define "easy". The shipping weight is 126 lbs. The Amazon driver had to roll the box end over end to get it from the truck to our porch. The shipping carton had instructions on how to uncrate which involved turning the carton on its top and sliding the carton up and off. Amazon should really offer assembly. Just getting it out of the box is ridiculous. It took two of us to uncrate it and get it into the house. It took two of us to assemble some of the pieces because it involved lifting the bike up and sliding the legs in to line up to screw the bolts in. The owner's manual was pretty good (which is where maybe some people got the idea assembly was easy) but the illustrations and numbering were small. Bring your readers. There were only 6 bolts to the whole assembly not including the bolts in the pedals which had to be screwed in and then tightened onto a nut that involved using two tools at once. It was not difficult intellectually to assemble it but difficult to handle physically in some parts of the installation.
- A It’s belt drivin. It’s better than chain
- A Bought one at Walmart that fits great for $10
- A SOLUTION!My bike experienced this after a couple months of being completely silent. The solution actually comes from slightly loosening the front two bolts at the base of the "fork" of the frame (right next to the center of the flywheel). You have to remove the plastic flywheel cover to get to the right-side bolt. It's a really easy fix...takes ~15 min total. It's weird because the noise doesn't come from there...it comes from the pedals. I contacted customer service and after sending a video was told my bearings were bad and replacement bearings would be sent (never received them). Anyway, there's really nothing wrong with the bike....just a matter of loosening those 2 bolts and the noise immediately goes away! Check out the top reviewer below, who include pictures of the bolts needed to loosen.
- A Get a hold the company and you can get a hold of replacement part.
- A It's worked great for me, and varying the tension has been no problem. FYI - I'm a small person - under 120 lbs.
- A I just got mine assembled and it's silent. It is a very smooth ride. Nothing will take the place of my road bike, but this is great for the days when the weather won't allow you out on the road.
- A That is a great question! The SF-B1002 has a leather brake pad and we suggest using 3 in 1 oil instead of a silicone based spray. Usually felt brake pads work well with silicone based sprays. I have attached a link below on how you can clean and oil your leather brake pad!https://sunnyhealthfitness.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/SUNNY-Bike_Resistance_Leather-Pad-Removal.pdf
- A my wife has a 24" inseam short legs she is 4'11" If I can order a second #8 on parts list that is the seat slider. I can modify the second one to fit her. The seat slider has a square tube that has a round "S" shaped rod welded to it. I would Modify the "S" rod by cutting it about 1" or so above the square tube or just about where the "S rod starts its first bend, by cutting the rod off there that would shorten the seat height by about 3" to 4" lower than stock and also move the seat height forward about 2" to 3" or so. I am only going by the pictures as I do not have one of these bikes yet for exact dimensions.
- A Hello,Thank you for considering Sunny Health & Fitness. The diameter of the flywheel is approximately 18.5 inches and weighs 49 lbs.
- A I addded a computer. I purchased $25 wireless bike computer that strap on to the handlebar next to the goose next. Adding the sensor was simple if you use magents. The bike comes with two support metal bars for shipping purposes that were screwed on to the bike and had the same color as the bike. I purchased two 3X1/2" magnets and a small 1/4" thick round magnet-1/2" diameter. I used the two 3X1/2" magnets to hold one of the support metal holders on to the left fork when facing forward, double sided tape to stick the sensor on to the metal support bar, and placed the small magnet on the wheel. Works perfect and unnoticeable.
- A Hi mine everything was good and now after few months still work fine and all my family use it too i really like the bike.
- A I have had this bike for nearly 2 years and use it more often than I go to the gym. The right pedal has started clicking midway through workouts (I'm on here researching how to fix it), but otherwise it is as solid as the day I put it together. Overall, I have been really pleased with the quality of this bike.
- A I've been using mine almost 3 years, 3-4 times a week, doing pretty fast workouts with high resistance. The seat never did stay on properly, I've replaced it twice. The pedal came off (metal connecting rod just broke right off during a ride). I ordered replacement parts (pedal and crank) at the cost of $30. But the crank arm will not re-attach properly and no matter how tight I get it, it is coming loose during the ride and I can't finish the workout. Definitely get what you pay for. I will order a different bike.
- A The Amazon specs say it is 90"L x 20"W x 44"H....interesting the seller says that it is 44"L so I went to the manufacturer site, which states what the seller says.
- A The seat size is 10 1/2 in L X 6 1/2 in W

- A It's free wheel. It's been a great bike for me so far!
- A No its not already attached...you half to put it together.
- A Maybe you've set the resistance too high. Are you able to bike at a cadence of around 70 to 80 comfortably? Also maybe better ventilation?
- A I can only guess that the attachment point to the bike is not tight enough. Other than that I don't know.
- A I can only tell you this bike is SOLID....and would probably hold a 300 lb. individual!
- A B1423 - 40lb flywheel, Digital monitor, Max user weight of 250lbs. B1002 has 49lb flywheel, NO digital monitor and max user weight of 275lbs
- A I use this bike with the Peloton app 4-5x a week, it is fantastic. The only thing you might not be able to do that the videos do is to set it to a certain resistance level, you just have to use an approximate level.
- A I called the California customer service phone for several wearable parts I expected to eventually need to replace (resistance mechanism parts). The person I talked to was knowledgeable and helpful. Parts were inexpensive and arrived by mail in 2 days.
- A I have two years of 7 hours a week use with original pads.
- A Very well, it's a really solid bike. The heavy flywheel makes a big difference as far as resistance is concerned, both positive and negative resistance. I use this and a Nordic track X7 hiking/running treadmill as indoor workouts which seem to be very complimentary. It will last many years and is very quiet
- A My daughter is about that height and she rides it also I'm just under 5'1" it can adjust fine for tgat height I think.
- A as a resident of SW Florida (Punta Gorda) I would advise against it. The trainer would work fine on the pool deck. However, corrosion would be almost certain over time in coastal areas such as mine, even with complete and effective covers. My resistance exercise equipment (weights, squat rack, cable machine, and benches) are on our pool deck under a roof and require frequent rust removal and repainting - not really practical for the spin bike.
- A That depends on leg length. When the seat is adjusted to the minimum height, and the pedal crank is at the bottom of the stroke, the length from seat surface to pedal surface is 30 inches. It's difficult to comment on the handlebars. They have a lot of up/down adjustment, but short arms might require leaning forward to an uncomfortable extent.
- A The sf-b901b has side braking pads. I don't know if it makes any difference. I have heard that with the braking pad on top, you get less squeaking. I have been using spin bikes for a long time now and I will tell you that the heavier the flywheel, the more fluid you ride will be (more life like...). I love mine. Have not had any issues yet and I use it 3 times a week (45 minute workouts). Good luck!
- A NO it does not (purchased 2015). I purchased new (Spinning brand) pedals that allow me to clip in on one side and allow my husband to use the cages on the other. They were pricey (~$70).
- A Love it it's small but works just right.
- A Standard bike computers can be easily adapted to this bike, with minor additional mounting parts. See my review for details of the specific adaption I made, which was both inexpensive and meets my information needs well.
- A I purchased a Coosh 700 memory foam cover and it fit fine however I still found the seat very uncomfortable for extended time. Purchased a Schwinn Ergonomic Adult no pressure seat and found it to be the answer!
- A You cant move the handlebars closer, but you can slide the seat forward and back.
- A Yes. It seems to be a typo. It is actually 50" @ max length and 44" @ max height. 20" wide. Love my bike!! It's worth it!!
- A My wife is 5'5" and pedals comfortably at the lowest the seat can be set. I asked her your question and she said it might be a stretch for you to pedal comfortably. What I would do is go to a gym or some sporting goods store and see if you can find a machine similar to this one and see if it is comfortable for you. This is a great spin bike and the price was very good compared to other models but the seat may not drop low enough for you to pedal comfortably but admittedly it will be very close. Hope this helps.
- A Yes, I would recommend a floor pad. The bike is stable enough that it would probably be OK on carpet, but it might rock a bit--and would definitely leave pits in your carpet. I bought the Supermats Heavy Duty P.V.C. Mat for Cardio- Fitness Products (2.5-Feet x 5-Feet) ($29.99 from Amazon), and then put wood strips (from old shelves) under the bike legs on top of the mat. It works great! The bike doesn't move, and my sweat is easy to wipe off the mat.
- A Yes. This is a very solid bike. Of course, it needs to be on a stable surface if you're going to stand. I put mine on some pressboard wood (some old shelves) over the carpet, and it's very stable.
- A No but it does have wheels and it is more compact than many bikes
- A It's a great bike but not designed to move easily if you have to move it in and out of place for use. It really needs to be kept in place unless you have some upper body strength. It wasn't too heavy for my girlfriend or I to lift when assembled though. It's a very good bike though. I wouldn't want something of lesser quality with wheels. If you have wood floors you could slide it around on a rug. Otherwise spend a few dollars on furniture sliders if you have a carpet. Then you could move it around easily enough.
- A m 5'1 as well. i choose my thicker soled tennis shoes to ride and it helps. The thinner my shoe was the less comfortable it was to ride. I do wish the handlebars adjusted forward and aft as well but for the most part I adjust the seat and I can ride pretty comfortably.
- A You would need to buy clipless pedals. App $50 at Amazon.
- A Unfortunately, I think this is somewhat normal. I had one bike that was really loud, and only got louder as the faster I peddled. Sent the bike back and the new bike also makes noise from the belt and drive train. I think this is normal and is poor quality of this sunny bike model.
- A You should not have a problem
- A Hi Ruby, I bought a gel seat at Walmart that fits the seat perfectly, feels great and didn't cost a lot. It's called Velo GelTech. Hope this helps.
- A This bike is fairly quiet, so I can't imagine that it would bother downstairs neighbors in and apartment.
- A The bike while in use is very quiet. We have our bike upstairs in our home. While my wife is using the bike upstairs I don't hear it downstairs even though the door upstairs is open and we have an open staircase.
- A I don't use RPM. I use one of 3 different DVDs by Cathe Friedrich where your workout is based on level of perceived exertion. I also use a heart rate monitor on my wrist to track calories burned and whether I'm in my target heart rate range or not. Personally, I could not be happier with this bike, but then again, I've never owned a spinning bike before. I feel like I get an awesome workout and also feel like this bike was a good deal for the price I paid. Hope you find what you're looking for.
- A This bike should fit you just fine from seat height to peddle. However You may need to buy a different saddle. The reason i say that is my wife is 5'8" and she has a quite forward seat adjustment (4 out of 5). Saddles are not expensive and a different one would allow you to slide the seat forward a few more inches, so don't let that stop you. This cycles resistance is very adjustable. Good luck!
- A This bike has a manual adjustment for resistance. You turn the knob to either raise or lower the resistance. There are no marking on the knob other than a + or - and the arrow indicating the direction to turn it in. While I love this bike, and it has worked for me, you would have to go by feel when adjusting it during a workout.
- A It's not that bad. It's a wider seat than my outdoor bike. So, while I do use it on that, we haven't needed it for the exercise bike. It's not soft, but it's worth trying before you decide to buy the gel pad.
- A It is a great fit and size for me ... I am 5'6" and 130 lbs. I use it a lot and am very pleased with it. I think it may not be the best fit for your weight and height. Sunny Health does have another one that is a bit more expensive and is white in color, that would be a better purchase. My son in law has it and it is perfect for him at 225 lbs and I have also used it and it works great for me also.
- A The foot-print of the base is 41.5 inches long by 20.0 inches wide.
- A I cycle a lot during the warm months on my road bike. I often (monthly) have to clean my chain and oil it. The oil accumulate dirty which sometimes cause a derailment of the chain. Also, the chain can be a little noisy. Now, with that being said this is all from my experience cycling outside on the roads. My experience at the gym, in spinning class, is different. The bikes are chain driven and the chains are enclosed. However, the chain does make some noise and I've notice the maintenance people oiling the chain. On the other side, belt driven, I wondered if the belt will wear / stretch and ultimately loosen. I try them both and I picked the belt for the quietness and smooth peddling. The chain belt was very good but ... I hope that helped.
