It works on Androids that have Bluetooth Smart (also called Bluetooth Low Energy or BLE), with three-party app (Runtastic, Map my run, etc.) However, the third-party apps usually support only reading of heart rate and not the rest of the features. There is a full fledged app for iOS but the one for Android is still in development.
